TEAM SERVICES
1) Off-Season Frame & Body Composition Assessment  (to help
athletes & coaches better understand potential to carry weight)
2) Off-Season Body Composition Presentation   (to help athletes
and coaches realistically implement annual changes in body mass)
3) Training Table Review  (help
kitchen staff, coaches, and administrators increase utilization of
training table that mirrors nutrition education)
4) Pre-Season Body Composition
Assessment  (to help athletes and coaches evaluate progress made
during off-season and identify heat vulnerable athletes)
5) Two-A-Day Review (help
coaches & staff get more work done with athletes while minimizing
fluid, heat, and recovery liabilities)
6) Dietary Supplement Presentation
(to help clear up the confusion that surrounds this subject so the
athlete minimizes errors that might result in a loss of eligibility or
compromise their health)
7) In-Season Travel Review (help
coaches and staff move team in a manner that minimizes fluid, fuel, and
rest related problems)
8) Staff In-Service On How To Sell /
Structure Nutrition Support Services (help staff involved in
recruiting learn how to make nutrition a major factor with performance
oriented athletes and parents concerned about the welfare of the
student-athlete. During this discussion we can also talk about various
models for disordered eating and body image management)
NOTE: NUTRITIONS SUPPORT SERVICES must
work equally well with Sports Medicine, Strength & Conditioning,
Coaches & Administration. I have never seen any two schools that have
the exact same dynamics between these groups so I typically advise on
what might be most appropriate once I have had a chance to view them
in action first hand.
9) Offsetting Cost Associated With
Nutrition Support Services (help staff and administrators look at
some creative ways to help lower the enormous cost of doing the right
thing....feeding and supplementing hungry athletes!)
10) Facility Planning (help
coaches, staff and administration plan truly function facilities that
perform and help recruit the kind of athletes you need to compete)
SERVICES FOR THE INDIVIDUAL ATHLETE
1) Off-Season Frame & Body Composition Assessment   (to help
athletes & coaches better understand potential to carry weight)
2) Off-Season Biochemical
Assessment, Diet, & Supplement Recommendation   (to help take the
guess work out of factors that may lead to chronic inflammation in
athletes which compromise capacity to work, recover from work and more
importantly long term health)
3) Interview and Hire a Personal
Chef For Home (or educate significant other on how to shop,
prepare, and full fill appropriate daily calorie distribution to meet
athletes needs which is critical to stabilize in hard working athletes
who don't have time to prepare their own meals)
4) Identify Healthy Options At
Favorite / Local Restaurants or Grocer (to help athlete make the
best choices when not eating at home to meet, but not exceed
requirements)
5) Locate Housing, Massage/Hydro
Therapies & Personal Chef For Training Camp (critical periods of
condensed stressful work require structured interventions that many
teams are unwilling to create which most professional or Olympic level
athletes know they can't leave these factors to chance and expect to
maximize their potential to perform)
6) Review Rate Limiting Performance
Factors and Recommend Interventions   (mental preparation,
lifestyle, tobacco / alcohol / drug use, chronic injuries, muscular
imbalance, distorted workout priorities can all hold an athlete back
and need to be worked through before those important contract years!
While I have a reputation as the nutrition and body composition
specialist I am also a pretty well seasoned strength coach who can
help discuss some of the unique ways to accomplish your goals in the
least invasive manner from an orthopedic perspective. In many cases I
will bring in a specialist in areas involved with addictive behaviors
and deep postural compensations)
7) Weekly On-Line Journaling
(this is a way for athletes to keep an open dialog with me on how
things are going by email or phone so that edits and interventions
occur before a problem occurs that can hold them out of competition)
SERVICES FOR INDUSTRY
(Food, Supplement, Body Composition, Performance Training Centers)
1) Personnel Recruitment / Industry Contacts (my contacts have
helped several companies find quality personnel or consultants for the
job at hand and make key introductions)
2) Strategic Planning (my
experience in big picture planning down to targeted projects can add a
fresh perspective that might stimulate some innovative outcomes)
3) Spokes Person / Media (for
products that I have great confidence in I have played a spokes person
role and have had professional media training to cope with though
questions)
4) Science & Legislative Insight
(I typically attend about five of the major conference annually for
sciences behind nutrition and body composition as well as some
gathering in DC where political agendas that impact these industries
are unveiled)
5) Fuelingtactics® Food First System
(application of a Food First system on how to harness the power of
food to out work the competition is prerequisite for gaining and
maintaining consumer confidence which is why I have created a video,
poster, website combination to help companies in this area)
